Toefle test

June 21th, it wasn't first time to take Toefl but since it is changed to IBT version I was very frustrated to take one. I woke up 7:00 am and take a shower andpack things that I needed. Actually there was enough time to prepare, as the test time was 10:00 and the test center was almost 10 minutes far from my place. I thought if I have a breakfast it might be sleepy and ruin the test so I decided to skip it and read some sample essays for the writing part.when it was 9:00 I came out of my apartment and walked to "Future skills high school"shich located in Yonge street. When I stepped into the room there were already 15 students waiting for the test and soon we had to sign on sheet . Suddenly one guy came and start to write names on the boardand pur numbers in front of the names.I was 7 and they started to check ID in that order. Finally I got my seat and it was corner of the room. The test was started and it took about 5 hours. when I finished the test I coould only remember that I missed too many questions at speaking part.
While coming back to home,I thought it might be useful to have a good score of the Toefl whenever I need to prove mu English ability.

At Coffee time

This was the last day that I had to finish my research paper. Right after my work, I went to coffee place which was near my house.I went there because if I go back to my room I thought it would be really sleepy to do the work. While I was ordering cup of coffee and a cake I realized there was no one but me.However I felt safe because there was2 women who work there. About an hour passed a man came whith gray training pants and jacket and sat beside me.Couple of minuites passed and he started to ask me some questions. At first he asked me hat am I doing so I told him I was doing homework. Then he asked me which subject it is and I intro duced me that I'm a ESL student in York Univ. and this is my assignment. He replied me that he was from Turkey he runs small business, he also aksed me to see my papers so let him to see it. After reading through, he gave me some comments but I couldn't understood it. He told me it is good to know people from many countries in Toronto and told me his name is Alex . Alex and I talked about Toronto life for a while and say good bye and hoped to see each other again.

Macro economics

On the day I went to the vary hall to take a lecture of Macro economics. I heard this subject is required to all business school students and will be easier thatn the one I took last time.
When I enter the hall, seems like there were 50 or more students were sitting on their seat. As soon as I sat, the professor came in and starts the lecture right away. The lecture was about money, price and inflation. According to his lecture money is the wealth in the form of readily spendable purchasing power and without money our economy could not successfully function.
Also he talked ablut level of money demand and what is velosity of money and what determines it. Even though I understand the question I couldn't get the right answer because he was too fast. I thought if I had time to skim the text book I could understand more than half of thekecture. After 2 hours laterthe lecture was over and everybody went out but the professor was still doing something with his stuff so I asked him why in these days Canadian dollars became stronger than US dollars. He kindly answered me that it's because of rising oil prices. commodities which Canada is an exporter and US is an importer. Then Canada will have excess amount ofUS dollar since US buyers pay this for the goods with US dollars. This increases supply of US dollars and decreases demand of US dollars.
I told him thanks for aswering and came out of the hall.

don't forget Sarah Marshall

Usuall I have to go to work on Sundays but one of my crew asked me to switch the day and on that Sunday I didn't have to go to work. I woke up almost 11 o'clock and read doing some internet then decide to take shower to go out. Weather was very nice. Any way I went to Second cup at North york center and wondering what to do friend of mine called me and asked me to go to movie with her. So we met at North york movie center and bought 2tickets of Don't forget Sarah Marshall. It was romantic comedy movie.
In the beginning of the movie Peter the main actor drops towel from his waistand got a message that her TV star girlfriend wants to break up with him. Then Peter flies to Hawaii in a desperate to get over the break up while there he met his ex-girl friend and her new lover and a pretty hotel receptionist.
The movie was all about those four people's happening. Peter was quite stupid person that I could laugh aloud because of him. Finally movie was finished, I and my friend came out of the theater. My friend told me it was really boring and whe regrets that she spent money on that. But for me it sometimes feels good to see thosekind of stupid movie

Speak your mind

On June 28th Jing who is my classmate asked me to go a contest named "speak your mind".
At first, I thought that was a hiphop contest, because Jing told me it was kind of "Rap" party. Any way,we promised to see at finch station 5:40 but I was late about 10 minuites. While we were heading to school we talked about how the party would like. When we arrived at school it was already 6:40 and we tried to walk fast to the art gallery building. Unfortunately we couldn't find the place about 30 minutes and we were really late. Finally we foune the place and when we enter the room where the performance was held. There was not many people than I expected and seems like they were all having fun. The performance was very powerful and political. Though I couldn't understand more than half of students' speech, but I could understand their feelings by their face and voice. At break time we talked with Don and had some snacks. When performance was over outside was already dark. The contest as completely differt then we expected I thought I leared many things from it
